Adoption Policy

This page is just to inform you on our policy for adoption, and to give you information on how we go about our adoption process. WE DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE PUPPIES, but from time to time we have babies or rescues. Pictures on our site is to show off our shih tzu's, but our rescues we sometimes place photo's up. We do NOT post Shih Tzu puppies on our site to sell, but welcome calls and emails to check and see what we have for adoption. I use the word adoption rather than "sell". We are selective in our homes as a result adoption is a better word to use. All pets placed in pet homes are placed on a spay/neuter contract ONLY. Below is just a guide to help you see what we look for in a home and what we require. Should you be intersted in a puppy or a rescue please feel free to contact me. As I mentioned before we don't always have puppies but also are able to help you by providing breeder referals upon request. Our goal is to place the right puppy in the right home. Requirements:

Our application:

All puppies,dogs, and rescues are treated the same. Our placements are taken with the consideration of what is best for that individual pet. We have an application process that must be filled out upon request. We have an out dated version of the application on our site but to be considered you must request a current copy.

All applicants are not approved. They are each looked at and considered, but choices are based on the home and what they have to offer a puppy.

In addition to filling out the application we require that once you've been notified that you are being considered for a puppy, you must contact us for a phone interview. Once we have completed the phone interview we then will contact your references.

We require 3 references of:

1. Your vet's name, phone, address

2. A groomer you have used, past breeders you have worked with

3. A family member not living in your home, or a friend.

We require reference or you will not be considered. We do contact your references before making a decision on approval.

This is taken very seriously and all things are considered before making a placement. We are responsible breeders and only want to offer the best for each puppy.

We do not sell our puppies off of our site, but notify people of when we are taking applicaitons for a puppy, litter, or rescues. No picture will ever be posted with a price. These are not dogs for sale but rather puppies and dogs who need a placement.

We only breed every one to two years and only have between one to two litters, except for rescues. We have contacts with other breeders and rescue groups so if we don't have something we can help you get the contacts you need to find a special pet to fit your home.

Our breeding program is not to produce puppies for sale, but for our own show purposes. We can't keep every puppy so that is what we place for pet homes on spay/neuter contracts. Therefore we don't always have puppies available, but are always more than willing to help you find a pet should you ask.

Our Contract:

This is a summary of what our contract contains. There is also an out dated copy here on this site, but a current one is now being used. This is just a summary:

~We require pet homes to have a puppy spay/neutered within a year of adoption

~We also require a vet check up with in 48 hours of picking up your puppy except for holidays and weekends.

~ We also require a letter, copy of a receipt, or form to be filled out stating that this has been done. You have one week to turn this in to us from the adoption date.

~Also once the puppy has been spay/neutered we also require a copy of a certificate, copy of receipt, or letter from your vet stating that this has been done.

~The contract also states that any puppy will not sir or dam a litter

~This puppy would never be resold for a profit, sold to a pet store, or given to the shelters, or pounds. Nothing leaves here that is never not welcomed back.

~We do have a health guarantee that you may request more information on.

~The contract also states that any abuse, neglect will be taken serious and will not be tolorated.
